HOW IT WORKS
How Water Damage Kirkland Works
A free service with one job: putting your water damage in front of a local restoration company quickly.
What Happens When You Phone
| Stop | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. You phone (425) 437-2143 | No forms and no callback requests |
| 2. You describe the damage | Where the water is, roughly how much, and what caused it if you know |
| 3. You're put through | To a water damage restoration company that serves your part of Kirkland or the Eastside |
| 4. The company takes it from there | It inspects, explains the work and the price, and schedules with you directly |
What This Service Does, and What It Doesn't
Water Damage Kirkland is a free service for homeowners in Kirkland and nearby cities. It helps you reach restoration companies for water extraction, drying and repairs.
The companies run their own businesses. Water Damage Kirkland doesn't employ them, price their jobs or stand behind their work, and it never sends anyone to your house itself.
Checking a Restoration Company in Washington
- Registration. Washington contractors generally need an active Labor & Industries registration. Look the company up on the state's lookup page, which lists registration, bond and insurance status (license search).
- Insurance. Request the company's proof of liability coverage, in writing.
- Training. Ask about the technicians' water damage training (IICRC courses, for example) and how they decide a structure is dry.
- Records. Daily moisture readings and photos. Your insurer will want them: moisture logs.
- A written scope. Drying listed separately from repairs.
- Red flags. Pressure to sign over insurance benefits before you understand the document, large cash payments up front, or promises about what your insurer will pay.
